What Laws Govern This Warranty?

The laws of the State of California, USA, govern this Warranty.

What is the New Waterproofing Warranty Policy?

Effective October 1st, 2023, all devices issued by Ballast will include dual protection waterproofing. Each device will have both an inner case and an outer wrap. Additionally, a cobalt strip, serving as a visual indicator of water presence, will be embedded within both the inner case and the outer wrap. This innovative design ensures double protection against water damage, allowing customers to visually confirm the absence of water ingress.

The warranty policy for any device issued on or after October 1st, 2023 is as follows:

If the cobalt strip on the inner case is exposed to water and undergoes a color change, the warranty will be voided. However, if customers notice the issue when only the cobalt strip in the outer wrap has changed color, Ballast will assist in issuing a replacement (either the inner case, outer wrap, or both). If both cobalt strips have changed color, the responsibility to replace the entire with the customer.
